Omar F. A. Gutierrez lives  in Omaha, NE and works for the Archdiocese of Omaha. He has been educated variously by Jesuits, Franciscans, Dominicans, Cistercians and the occasional Benedictine. Through it all, he has attempted to apply the Catholic Church’s Social Teaching to the everyday issues of Catholic life.

Omar has presented on the Social Teaching of the Church many times and continues to be get invitations to speak on the subject. He is a regular guest on Spirit Catholic Radio, and his radio program through DiscerningHearts.com is available for download. He has been published in the National Catholic Register, The Wanderer. His old blog Regnum Novum was regularly picked up by trusted Catholic portals including New Advent. He currently writes for CatholicVote.org.
